The Owners:
Gwen Avers is a graduate of the University of Florida. With a degree in Dietary Management and 13 years experience managing all 3 Willow Valley Retirement Villages Gwen is poised for success. Her husband Dennis, AKA "The Floater" works for Donnelly Printing but keeps the guests entertained with his friendly demeanor. Dennis is a "good ole boy" from West Virginia. However, Dennis has nearly 30 years as a central Pennsylvanian and this web master from New York City did not detect an accent. Flavers Food & Spirits, a dream realized by one of the area's most gifted chefs. With owners Gwen and Dennis Avers at the helm, this family run, culinary destination is poised to be a contender for one of the area's top new restaurants. Its eclectic menu is executed with panache, while the space itself has been warmed considerably from its previous incarnations. Flavers reflects a cozy, intimate casual, but elegant style with stunning architectural treatments and rustic colonial interior decor.
Flavers non-pretentious atmosphere is achieved through a flowing colonial design, in a friendlier time where the owner hosts guests for lunch and dinner in an elegant and warm environment. This location was once part of the Underground Railroad.

Gwen and Dennis have been married for over 30 years and have raised 4 children and have 8 grandchildren. They both would like to thank everyone for their support.
The Chef:
Chef Brad Beamenderfer brings close to a decade of experience to Flavers. Born and raised in Elizabethtown, he has also spent some time traveling the country, and has also resided in Phoenix, AZ. During his travels he payed close attention to regional cuisine and trends, which he projects in his cuisine. Brad prides himself on preparation incorporating fresh ingredients and using careful attention to detail to present you with eye-catching, exciting plates.
